ASHER ROTH COMMITS "TWITTERCIDE" H.O. Introduces Our New Word Have you ever drunk texted your ex and woke up the next day regretting what you'd done?  Well, imagine that you drunk texted the world and then you'll know what rapper Asher Roth feels like.  The micro-blogging site, Twitter, is now offering a new aray of dangers to the act-before-you-think population of the world and Asher, who forgot he is now FAMOUS, has become the first to commit what we call TWITTERCIDE.  It now looks as though Twitter doesn't just help us communicate in real time, but it's actually faster than the speed of thought or at least common sense. We didn't want to discuss Asher as much as empart this new term into the public consciousness.  definition: Twittercide (twit-ter-ci-de)/noun - the act of carelessly committing social suicide virally, and in real time. For those that haven't read about this on virtually every other blog, Asher Roth posted...excuse me, Tweeted this politically incorrect statement last week: "Been a day of rest and relaxation, sorry twitter, hanging out with nappy headed hoes" Those that haven't been under a rock for the past year know that this was a Don Imus refference but this stab at pop culture hilarity has backfired and could cost him his black fan base.  This is all on the heels of an amazing week which saw his album, Asleep In The Bread Isle, released and debut at #1 on the itunes album chart.  I don't know about you, but I like my sundai topped with whipped cream and a cherry, not racism.  Let's hope the irreverent wordsmith sticks to the recording booth and leaves the laptop alone. - The Big Ragu
