TRON LEGACY TO RLEASE IN 2010 WATCH THE TRAILER HERE It is possibly the end of the 80's retro trend now that Disney is trying to cash in too. Tron, the 1982 dud that went down in pop culture infamy (for the record, it was my favorite movie as a kid...well, after Star Wars), was a special FX spectacle that to a 2009 teen probably looks like a home made i-movie. Regardless of it aging badly, it is visually everything that the modern hipster demands esthetically from his casual fashion from T-Shirts to custom shoe designs. It only makes sense that a remake would be in the works. Lucky for us, Disney is taking it a step further by producing a sequal featuring Jeff Bridges reprising his roll as Flynn.  Evidence of this was spread like wild fire after footage premiered at Comicon last week. The original story was about a former computer programer turned arcade proprietor who after a bad attempt at sabotaging his former employers new technology (that he originally designed) is digitized into the machine. Upon joining the digital age circa 1982 he was not greeted by pop ups and porn, but something much worse, a slave like society forced to take part in the cyber Olympics of death. From the Comicon footage it seems that as the technology has advanced in the past 27 years so has the deadly games of the Tron world. I know, it seems hoaky, but please, take a couple minutes to watch the preview and I guarantee you'll be in line opening weekend.
