Though Irish, they are signed to the French record label, Kitsune Music. This year they hit the U.S. for the first time ever, on tour for their album, Tourist History. Bellowhead- This contemporary folk band will not be traveling to far to share their tunes with this year’s Glastonbury. Hailing from England itself, the 11-piece band will show off their brass and percussion with folk songs, traditional dance tunes, and shanties. The band was brought together by Jon Boden and John Spiers when a traffic jam caused them to recruit new members. Their first performance at the Oxford Folk Festival in 2004 got them on the music scene which encouraged them to independently release a five-track EP. BBC radio awarded them two folk awards the following year. Since then they have released more music and become big enough to hit us this year at Glastonbury.
