Sad to see it go but happy to help it leave. Bourbon Street Ballroom held the last of Steez Promo / Dubnation events last Friday with a major blowout boasting big EDM names before closing its doors for good. The likes of Dieselboy, Bare, Sluggo, and Datsik brought the house down for a night, not of loss, but of celebration. Though the venue will be missed, the years of big shows brought to us by Steez Promo, have been some to remember forever.

All rooms, speakers, light, and stages were a go Friday, September 9th at Bourbon Street in Baltimore, MD for ravers to get there last Steez fix at this immortalized location. For years, Baltimore has been home to a growth of Dubstep, House, D&B, and other EDM genres. To close the relationship out with a bang, Steez brought us bumping Drum n Bass from Dieselboy, heart pumping Dubstep drops from Datsik, and let the man himself, Steez founder, Smash Gordon, run the tables crazy. The sold out show made for a line that wrapped around the Ballroom outside as usual patrons and newcomers a like waited for their chance to get their last jam on with Bourbon Street and the families created there. A packed house over flowed out of every room, stairwell, and rooftop space available. Datsik headlined the event, which hit the huge crowd at 11:30. Fans danced and raved while Datsik threw down favorites like “Firepower”. It was then only fitting that Smash Gordon would entertain fans for the last hour at Bourbon Street Baltimore. And entertain he did, hitting people with crazy spins and new tracks from his latest mix. As the crowd made their exit, smiles were wide, praise was loud, and memories were made.
