CHROMEO DROP THIRD ALBUM

BUSINESS CASUAL

It Doesn't seem plausible that 2 French Canadians could emerge as Funk revivalists in the age of GaGa, Soldier Boy, and Tiesto.  As pop culture often does, it has proved us wrong again.  David Macklovitch (Dave 1) and Patrick Gemayel (P-Thugg) formed Chromeo in the 90's in their home town of Montreal only to be offered a deal by hometown hero Tiga.  In 2004, Turbo records released the first outing of the duo, She's In Control,  and reintroduced the world to the glory of the 80's.  We're not talking Madonna and Michael Jackson here, Chromeo tackled the grooves of D-Train and The Time and mashed it up with the melody of pop/soul stars Hall + Oates.  For a new generation cultivating the up and coming Electro scene, it was fresh and new.  2007's sophmore album, Fancy Footwork, solidified their position in the new Dance era but thanks to their funkier rather than Housier take on the genre they transcended from the Electronic realm to be embraced by the college and festival crowds of both America and Europe.  Countless concerts and commercials later (their music is used by ad agencies to sell everything from cell phones to Reese's Peanut Butter Cups) they are set to do it again with their new album, Business Casual.  In our exclusive video interview, P-Thugg talks to H.O.'s MC Shawn Lucas about Mullets, performing with Darryl Hall, and pits Lionel Richie vs. Phil Collins!
